World Travels

Look at me, publishing a post within a month of the last post, I am really on top of things! Anyway, once again my life has become a hectic, chaotic mess (but in a good way). I spent two weekends in a row working, then the next weekend I hopped on a plane to Nashville, Tennessee. Yes, that's right, I was invited to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. For some reason though, once I arrived, there must've been a glitch in the system or it was all a practical joke, because they all acted like they didn't know me, and I could not get past security! They will be hearing from my lawyers.

All joking aside, I went to Nashville to visit my best friend and Maid of Honor, Ashley. She was graduating with a Master of Arts in Teaching, so of course I had to be there to cheer her on. It was a pretty wonderful trip. We went to Arrington Vineyards and met Kix Brooks, of Brooks and Dunn, and he signed the corks on our wine bottles:
Yep, Ashley arranged a meet and greet with a famous country music star.
At the vineyards, we had some delicious wine and delicious cupcakes. The cupcake sparked a new obsession for me--not necessarily for baking cupcakes, but for eating them. Such a delightful, tasty treat.

Monday I went to Ashley's kindergarten class as a guest lecturer. My topic was "Dialectical Behavior Therapy in Borderline Personality Disorder: An analysis." They weren't too interested, so we switched things up and sang a song about the oceans instead.

We finished up the trip with an Ingrid Michaelson concert. This wasn't my first time at the rodeo--in fact, it was my third Ingrid concert. She is my absolute favorite musician, and her shows are always awesome, they never disappoint.

So you see, not much time for wedding planning! Although Ashley and I did discuss many things in detail, including bridesmaids dresses, food, videographers, and of course, the wedding dress. So there's no need to worry, wedding planning is well underway! More to follow soon.
