Wedding Planning MACHINE

Over the summer, any time someone asked me the oft-heard phrase "how is the wedding planning going," I would raise my eyebrows and cryptically respond with "it's going." These days...well, these days, not much has changed. I still give the same response, but mostly because I like to be dramatic. Lately, I typically follow up with, "actually, I am feeling less panicked than before." However, that is an understatement, because I am actually starting to feel pretty great! Yes, I still get stressed, and yes, I still have wedding anxiety dreams, but all in all I am feeling quite confident. I've checked many things off the to do list in the past couple of weeks and I am pretty pleased with myself. Sometimes I think it's all too good to be true, and I'm just waiting for the next disaster to come along, but in the meantime I will bask in the glory of all these accomplishments:

1. ORDERED INVITATIONS!! WHAT?!?!
There was some drama over inner envelopes and reception cards, but all was resolved and they should be arriving the second week of September!! SERIOUS TIMES!!!!

2. Had a Second Fitting
Only one more fitting to go, which is in two weeks! I figure at this point, unless I do a cleanse, my weight won't change much. I can probably stop feeling guilty every time I eat Taco Bell.

3. Scheduled Hair & Makeup for Myself and my Mother
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezey!

4. Set the Menu for the Reception
All you really need to know is that there will be baked mac n cheese. NOM.

5. Ordered part of the Bridesmaids' Gift
You better believe this was another one of those simple decisions I agonized over for 24 hours.

6. Ordered a New Dress for the Rehearsal Dinner
Yes, this was on my to do list. It's an important component of wedding planning.

7. Booked Rehearsal Dinner Location
I'm still concerned over whether or not we will fit everyone...

8. ALMOST Ordered Matt's Suit
We designed it, we just need to get his measurements so we can order it. And yes, we're going with 3 piece suits instead of tuxedos. Ultimately, it came down to what Matty and I thought was more baller--and that's how we make decisions in our household.

Can you even BELIEVE that list of accomplishments??? I am on a roll and I don't plan on ever stopping--I feel like I could do this in my sleep! (And I actually thought I was, when I dreamt the other night about ordering wedding invitations.)

I will have even more updates shortly, especially since I plan on ordering Matt's suit this weekend, and possibly picking out his wedding band as well. At the moment, I have to get my beauty rest. I'm currently at a training for new 4-H agents, and my brain is dunzo--it's a miracle I was able to pull this post together. I mean, earlier today I couldn't even think what animal "equine" referred to!!  I cannot describe my level of shame over that faux pas. We have another very full half day tomorrow, and I intend to be on top of my game since we're going to cover some hotly contested issues. So, until next time, peace out girl scout!
