We got married, and it was pretty cool and stuff like that!
Anyway, Matt and I both have surprises planned for this weekend, so you'll get to hear all about the big celebrations on Monday. I've also got a post planned for Sunday, the day of our anniversary.
In the meantime, I felt it was appropriate to do a little Fashionably Late post on my rehearsal dinner outfit!
I spent several months searching for the perfect dress for the rehearsal dinner. Since it was a winter wedding, y'all KNOW I needed something sparkly. At first, I found a lovely, gold sheath dress that was on clearance at BHLDN, but of course once I tried it on I couldn't even zip it up. I've lost about 15 pounds since then and, for the most part, wear a size smaller than what I ordered, but I STILL can't fit in that dress. Did I mention it was final sale? Womp womp.
Anyway, I luckily found this pretty number at Macy's just in time.
|And by "pretty number," I'm not talking about the redhead standing next to me. Ow ow!|
I paired it with black booties and some shiny accessories from Kate Spade (duh). I also carried a sequined black clutch that happened to be one of those "free gift with purchase" things from Vicky's. ALL OUTFIT PROBLEMS SOLVED!
This dress also works really well for holiday parties, or to wear around a casino during NYE!
Since this outfit was put together a year ago (has it really been a year?!?), I can't find all of it online but I will do my best to find similar options (in case you're a stalker and you want to look just like me--but let's face it, doesn't everyone want to dress like me?)
Have a wonderful weekend!
