Thanksgiving Weekend

I know I'm not the only one really feeling the Monday blues today. The good news is the Christmas season is officially here (so I can stop ignoring all the decorations and commercials that have been in my face since Halloween), and it's only a few months until we get to meet Aida!

We had a really great Thanksgiving this year. My parents came up to visit, and it was so nice to spend some time with them, before this baby arrives and everything changes. My mom and I spent some time shopping and getting Aida's clothes sorted out, and Millie got to go on lots of long walks with Grandpa Gary. Speaking of Millie, she got a little overwhelmed with her hosting duties this month, and didn't have time to write her usual guest post. However, she wanted me to tell you all how much she loved her Benebone from Chewy! It was peanut butter flavored and kept her quite entertained. Not to mention, it's all natural--only the best for this doodle!

One of the highlights of this past week was taking my mom to a nice steakhouse for an early 60th birthday celebration (her birthday is in January, but we obviously won't be doing any traveling that month). We had great food and great conversation, and the most amazing chocolate cake for dessert.

As always, the trip was just too short. I always get sad and moody when they leave, but I'm hopeful that one day we'll live closer and these goodbyes won't be so hard.

Did anyone find any great deals over the weekend? I saved $50 at Bath and Body works, and now I'm itching to get on some Cyber Monday deals. Here are a few of my favorites from Lilly, Kate Spade, and Nordstrom. Lilly Pulitzer is still offering gifts with purchase; everything at Kate Spade is 30% off with the code Shine, and Nordstrom has some sales going on, plus lots of great gifts under $50.

I have one more assignment for my grad school class and a few evening meetings at work this week, and then things should slow down for the holidays (should, being the key word there--let's hope it stays that way). I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the Christmas season with Matt, and listening to lots of Christmas music, of course! I've got a playlist below to get you started.
